Best way to remove starter?

I have no problem getting the bolt on the right off. However, the left one is really a PITA, does anyone have a suggestion about how to remove the left bolt?

long extension and a universal joint. it really shouldnt be that bad... is it just hard to get to for you or not coming out?

I just can't get to it very well for some reason. I did it before no problem, now I just don't remember how I got it.
