Best Turbo Set up

Alright i just bought a 87 turbo 2 with a blown motor for a parts car to convert my baby to a turbo 2, im eather gonna rebiuld the engine myself or get one already done, waht i need is help from you turbo guys cause as of right now i dont know alot about them, what is the best set up to go? I'd like to have around 220 to 250 Hp and have it last. what kind of things do i need to buy what mods are best how much boost should i run? turbo timer? boost controoler? about everything.

You can run up to 10psi on the stock turbo, but you should probably port the wastegate so you don't get boost creep. The turbo timer is nice if you race around town a lot and need to shut the engine off quickly (late to work or school), and it looks neat, but performance-wise it's a waste of money. If you look around on the internet, you will find plans to make a boost controller from Home Depot parts for about $20. Here are some mods to consider:

Upgraded fuel system
Fuel cut defenser
Street port
Ported wastegate
Boost gauge
Front-mount intercooler
Performance radiator
K&N air filter
Performance exhaust system
