Exclamation best supercharger???

so basically im just wondering what the best supercharger is out there? based on HP gains, ive head and read about the camden supercharger kit. but the gains arent that great. and the paxton nelson kit was suppose to be pretty good, but dont make anymore.

again the question is "what is the best supercharger kit that creates the most HP gains" (-with everything else equal-, i dont want any smart *** people saying theres to many variables)

Are we talking a kit here or any supercharger period? How much money do you have to spend?

money isnt a factor, and as for whether its a kit or not doesnt matter aswell. just aslong as it is relatively compatible with an rx7, lets not go off the wall and say any supercharger is compatible with fabrication, lets say around $500 and 12hrs worth of fabrication(not including the s/c and assesories) will be how deep our pockets and time will be

If you wanna look into something that is really good, look into Whipple superchargers. However, everything will need to be custom, and it'll cost you a lot.

I have a centrifugally supercharged FC. If you click the link in my sig, you'll see a comparison of several different dynos of different supercharger kits for the FC. Basically, I'll sum it up for you.

Roots superchargers suck, period. Don't waste your time. They are grossly inefficient. I know a certain forum member has sunk thousands and thousands into the car only to make 210 whp. Their "down low" power is really not that great despite what people will try to tell you.

The Paxton/Nelson centrifugal kit has the potential to make decent power (210-240 whp); however, it has many shortfalls as well. The old-school Paxton supercharger hate being overspun past their redlines.

A Whipple/Twin Screw style supercharger is absolutely the way to go if you're dead set on installing a supercharger on your FC. It combines the best of both worlds: Instant boost and great efficiency.

My recommendation would be to get a turbo setup and turbo your NA. I forget which forum member is making the NA Turbo kits (SonicRat or Aaron Cake, i think). I would absolutely go that route in retrospect. Don't listen to the ignorant comments.

A turbosupercharger is the best kind of supercharger if you REALLY want the most HP. Most people think the GT35R is the best for both low end torque as well as high end HP but it's more expensive than what you can afford if you get so upset about money like you do.

I dont know if Aaron Cake is making kits, but he can give you a lot of info about them I'm sure. He has a writeup on his website, and its quite thourough if I remember right.

Aaron Cake was not making the turbo n/a kits, Sonicrat was, and Sonic is on hold with that project for now because he got totally screwed over on a bunch of stuff.

FYI guys, the guy is asking about a supercharger, not which turbo he wants. He has hopefully done some research and maybe he wants to use a supercharger?

Also,

http://www.geocities.com/boatseason/sc-parts-list.xls

There is a list for the basics of the kit, I know for sure the supercharger still exists and the blower pulley, they don't carry the other pullies specifically for the kit. So you'll have to look into it yourself and see you can do from there.

Camden also has a kit thats so far hasn't been the best (according to members here). Check out Piano's page and you'll see the comparisons.

I'm not making kits (yet).

Remember, SonitRat's turbo kit is far from complete. It includes new upper and lower intakes, throttle bodies, oil and water hose, and fuel stuff to go with the intakes. You need to add the turbo, exhaust manifold, downpipe, all intercooler related, fuel injectors, fuel pump, fuel control (standalone, S-AFC, etc.) and probably a few other things I am forgetting. I don't say this to bash SonicRat for his efforts or anything, but I don't really see the point of paying $1400 US when you could get the same effect by buying a $50 set of used TII manifolds...
