remove the air chip.

then go stand alone. yoube done about all you can do besides tweaking it.

you can remove the 5th and 6th prt actuators. do the tb mod, do some super grounding, and cut a hole in your fender for some fresh air to ge into the engine bay. thats about all.

By exhaust do you mean a full system (headers, cat, cat-back)? If no, then definitely invest in a good set of headers.

Alright, go ahead, but if you look into it, as said by Racing Beat.com at this link " http://www.racingbeat.com/pdf/perf_guide.pdf " the turbo upgrade on an N/A's high compression rotors makes a turbo upgrade unfeasable.

Really..unfeasable huh?>...then you might want to talk to SonicRat and AaronCake and let them know how unfeasable it is. There are alot of people now doing this modification to there cars....or to there n/a's I should say.

listen you dont need turbo to make the car fast trust me on that there are a lot of tricks you can do to that motor if you can see in the pic there is a lot of stuff missing in my motor and this all stuff you can do to make your car faster and i would bet on that

Ahhhhhhhhhh sweet sarcasm!

I think people dont get the point in this thread... I dont think this guy's ready to rebuild/port his engine. We dont even know his budget.

There are just no cheap way to beef a N/A seriously... Begin with full exhaust and intake. After you can think about a SAFC to lean it up a little ( gotta get it tuned )

It was always my understanding that those did very little on RX-7's.
As for the turbo, it is doable but very hard. You have to custom fabricate a whole lot of stuff and spend a massive amount of time getting everything right. It is usually easier and cheaper to just to a TII swap.
The main things you can do to an NA to make it faster is a full exhaust, such as the RB system, and a cone intake with a cold air box. You can also get a SAFC to lean it out. Other than that, rebuilding and a port job is about all thats left.

For the most part, what a bunch of useless answers....

But in a way, there's a reason for this.

The reason is because all of this has been well covered. There are several threads in the Archives that deal with basic upgrades, including a long one geared towards NAs called "how to make a beefy n/a". The FAQ also contains loads of info, including the often asked NA to turbo conversion questions.

Damn...Where's that BS flag when it's needed?

Full turbo install for only $1200 including labour....keep dreaming unless it's being installed with junk parts. There's almost more then $1200 alone in installation time assuming average shop rates...
