I'll second you oon the Merrit parkway

Two lanes of high speed insanity, NO one does the speed limit or any where near it.

I personally would recommend anywhere except in VA or MD. Even though the scenery and the roads are some of the best, the police seem to have a certain dislike towards sports cars. I have personally run into this way too many times. Please see my thread on my ongoing saga with the Prince William County, VA P.D. (https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=78567). I also have another upcoming dealing with the MD State Police. I will get into that later.

Deep Illinois is good fun, especially at night. Along 47, Route 66. Then Lake Shore Drive and the Waukeagan Parkway, too

Word.

I'm working on an inner city Seattle drive, and Seattle to Snoquamie falls is really nice.

Here in central OR, there is one of Mercedes-Benz' top 100 rated US driving roads. It's the McKenzie Pass, goes through a mountain, and aside from having an enormous amount of sensational curves on a very narrow road, the drive is absolutely gorgeous.

Never did get a chance to take an RX-7 over it, but even with my PGT it is still great fun.

I know you're kidding, right? Lol, I can never get that drive to last longer than 40 minutes!

Very true, the cops in Prince William seem to have nothing better to do than right tickets for things that a lot of cops would let slide. There is a spot by me that goes from a speed limit of 55 to 45, and if you don't slow down the second you hit the 45 they are all over you. My brother got a ticket for 62 in a 45 there, the ******* was setup right at the border between the two zones. Of course his car is bright red too.
