best rebuild kit for my S4

I'm need to order a rebuild kit for my 86 GXL that I just lost my rear rotor in. I'm not looking for housings in the kit, I will tackle that issue when I get in there and observe the damage to the housings. I'm looking for:

Apex seals and springs, side seals and springs, corner seals and springs, complete rotor oil seals with O-rings and springs, front and rear main seals, and complete gasket and O-ring set.

Anybody have any experience withrevolutionrotary.com, they have a kit listed as $698.00, plus shipping..also looking at the racingbeat kit which is more spendy at $990.00. Suggestions, feedback from these shops or others would be great. Thanks.

Best usually mean most expensive.&nbsp Racing Beat usually uses all Mazda OEM parts.

I agree, but that $698 revolution rotary kit uses all Mazda OEM parts too...the only difference I saw in the kits is that the rev. rotary kit doesn't come with side seals, just the springs....

Makes me wonder too... Price difference is $990 from racing beat and $698 from Rev. Rotary. Thanks for the link, I'll take a look. The RB kit uses the oem apex seals, what are your thoughts on those vs. the atkins 2 piece. Atkins kit is like $890.00..I'm going to have my motor ported at Pineapple Racing, there large street port is what I was shootin for.

The rev.rotary kit probably does not come with new metal oil rings which are $200/set. I suppose the RB one includes those. You really won't need them anyway unless you break a few while installing the o-rings

What are the metal o-rings for? Are you refering to the oil control rings?

Not sure about the price of a OEM kit directly from Mazda, but I'm sure it extremely high!!! I would like to buy a motor for the price of the rebuild kits I've looked at, pineapple motors run for 2k and Atkins for about $1,600. I know you can buy a base rebuild motor to get your running for awhile (like from rotary ressurrection)...but I'm gonna get ported so I think I'll save money in doing it myself. Plus the experience of it will be nice.
