ummm.. ok... from the turbo? you have a down pipe?

still 8-9 psi max or your engine will blow

do you have an aftermarket boost gauge? get that first.

then get a bigger fuel pump. walbro 255 is good. around $100 off ebay.

I'd say no more then 8. Anything over that and you're bound to hurt something. Might look into buying a FCD instead of fooling around with the psi?

Ha... 16.. You have a great car for being a beginning driver. Consider yourself lucky, just don't be like most 16 year olds and wrap your TII around a telephone pole.

after you get the fuel pump you can up the boost to .7bar (~10psi). Thats what i ran on my engine w/ walbro 255. make sure you get a boost gauge though before you ever boost..those S4 wastegates are deadly

how much boost can i run with...

S4 87 TII stock turbo and IC

hks 3" DP
3" to the stock Y... then stock piping back to dual fart cans.
Cone filter/cold air box
walbro
HKS PFC F-CON with FCD
boost gauge

have MBC but dont think ill need it to up the boost. I may have to find a way to keep boost down.

so whats the safe limit for this setup. i was told the F-CON is good to 14 psi.. but i dunno.

Even if you don't want to raise the boost anymore than the overflowing wastegate is giving you, the mbc will help with spool up time so I'd stick it on there.

The walbro richens things up quite nicely. You'll hear all kinds of reports as to what is a 'safe' psi to run. The answer is: there is no real answer. Every car is going to be slightly different. Not every car has it's injectors flowing nice and cleanly, fuel pressure after the walbro is probably different on some cars as well. I ran 11 pounds on the dyno and my a/f numbers will still in the mid 11's virtually the entire run. I had people tell me I'd blow up my car at that amount of boost with just the walbro.

The fconn is a nice unit, but I would get a pair of 720's reagardless. The fconn won't be able to richen anything up if the stock system if already maxed out.

Generally speaking, new owner + 3" exhaust + FCD + boost controller = blown engine.

Best bet is to keep the boost stock until you learn a little more and can make some informed decesions about modding the car. If you MUST do some modding, get a larger fuel pump (Walbro as mentioned) and a larger set of secondary injectors (720s) to be safe.

$50 shipped. It's a home-made unit made by someone else on the forum, but he is an electrical engineer. sh
