best place to mount a fpr?

im gonna be using a aeromotive fpr with the dual inlet and single outlet. i was wanting to see where everybody mounted theirs on thier 2nd gen. i was told that i couldn't mount it on the firewall if i wanted to race at Firebird Raceway (drag strip).

i have seen a few threads in the past all about this. don't want to mount it on the firewall incase of catastrophic clutch failure witch could potentially send clutch shrapnel into the engine bay severing the fuel lines on the firewall. i would try and mount it like all the FD guys do, on the front of there intake mani's.

i don't know how you could fit it, i'm no where near my car to go out and look. i'm sure though you could find a spot. but next best scenario to put it would be on the strut tower.

Mine is mounted on the drivers shock tower:

Many people also make a small bracket and mount them on the front of the intake manifold.

Don't have a decent pic right now, but what I did was mount my FPR to the stock charcoal canister bracket on the passenger side strut tower. That way it's off the firewall and the mount looks clean. Only downside is that your fuel lines can get pretty long. My return line from the FPR was about 3 feet long back to the stock hardline. I am not running the parallel fuel system mod, jus regular system in series with stainless lines.
