best koyo rad for the job

so im trying to figure out what koyo rad i should get but not sure which one. my engine is streetported NA with stock water pump. eventually i want to swap motors so i can run turbo. so need a rad that will work with both. and also is there any advantages to getting the s5 one instead of the s4?

the best koyo is either the Fluidyne model or the Ron Davis model.

they're a few dollars more but worth it IMO if you are going to drop the money anyways.

or if they're a little too pricey, godspeed makes a decent chinese radiator which you can replace 3 fold for a single koyo price.

wait, that sounded biased. probably because it was. OEM koyo radiators are great, i'm not so keen on their aftermarket though. i've got one here that leaked very minorly right out of the box and have seen 2 different cores melt down, of which one was a $450 N flow.

just keep the stock rad, and then after the swap, go upgraded. i have found that a stock na rad works just fine in a stock t2. once you go front mount, begin the cooling headaches.

I have a single pass Koyo rad now, but if it starts to leak for any reason then I might consider a Godspeed two pass rad my self. Looks to be a decent unit.

ive heard that if you get dual pass or triple pass rads, you need to upgrade your waterpump. if thats not the case, then thats something i would do cause its better cooling. but if it is, then i have to stick with the single pass rads

I don't know if this is an upgrade but I had to swap my stocker out because it started to leak out from the weep hole. I picked up a new water pump from Autozone and the impeller is made of aluminum instead of plastic and looks to have a deeper housing. Not probably worth it though if yours is working. I haven't heard of to many people having issues with the stock water pump and holding water pressure.

only thing i have senn so far is taking the housing apart, putting in an aliminium housing with two ports and using an electric pump
