I purchased Royal Purple synthetic 75w/90 for my girlfriends lsd in her t2. No idea if it's the best, but it's what I used. Car sits now like a typical rotary with wiring issues. Drove about 2000 miles, with two different rear ends. I had the same oil put in both. One was still making noise so I purchased a lower milage one. No sound back there.
