YearsofDecay! Works wonders, no fuel cut. Small, easy to install and only costs like 30-40 bucks (can't remember)

I love it.

You bought one right? It plugs right into the boost sensor just like the racingbeat one?

Rtek7 doesn't seem bad for the money, seeing how much the FCD costs new. Really though, Ted is right. Best would be a standalone.

No matter which one you're looking at it's gonna be $1,000+ so you might as well do a lot of research before you decide on a standalone.

I kinda miss all the anti-FCD clan that used to be all over posts like this.
Until it was confirmed the boost sensor does nothing to fuel delivery during boost...

I have an E6K, i've had it for a couple of years now. My buddy has the new Microtech. Both are nice. For the FC though, you can't just plug into the stock harness, so either way, there's going to be a lot of new wiring to be laid.

Yes, and there is also one for the haltech through k2rd. Most stock wiring harnesses are still the original harness, and is in rather poor condition. You don't want to re use it if you don't have to.

Can't the Rtek remove the FCD feature from the stock ECU to make it use stock fuel maps?
Increase injector maxes and increase retard according to boost?

The Rtek is definitely the way to go if you haven't bought a FCD yet.

Of course if you have the $$ and time then a EMS woudl be the way to go.
