Best Exhaust For My Na Rx7?
Hi I am wondering what exhaust brand will give me the most power on my 86 na. Right now it has a megan racing cat back and I'm just wondering if the megan exhaust is good or if it's worth upgrading to something like racing beat or hks.

to be honest, an exhaust upgrade on a N.a give minimal to moderate gains. What you have is good, to get another exhaust is just a waste of money. Unless the current exhaust is too loud, or just sounds nasty, a racing beat catback is a good upgrade, but a waste of money performance wise since it will gain you minimal power from what you have now.
If you want the best performance out of an exhaust, you will have to fabricate one.
Long runners all the way to the back of the car and merge into a collector and muffler.
Something like a true dual from Racingbeat is supposedly to raise torque at low rpm without sacrificing high end power, but thats on a stock port, I dont know about it being bolted on a street port or larger.
Spend the money on a rebuild with a large street port, makes more power then any exhaust would for about or a little more for the price.

the best is completely stock with a electronic cut out right after the manifold. if you setup your 6pi to open from the ACV dump tube you don't have to worry about back pressure and you can have the top end power when you desire without having annoying exhaust 100% of the time.
