I think that best is probably speculative.. best for what? a high HP exhaust can be really loud and that that might not be what you want What are you looking for? Just power regardless of sound? Do you want a good quality system that it's that loud for daily driving?

If you want to get into some spendy exhausts check out corksport.com.

I think the biggest problem you are going to find that is that I don't know if anyone here has even bothered to spend the 1600.00 on the HKS titanium exhaust or the 832.00 for the Mazdaspeed, 1400.00 for the Amemiya o even 1700.00 for the Amemiya Dolphin.

I think that for a generic answer most people would say the Racing Beat full turbo exhaust is probably the best all around system in regads to power, noise and looks.

if i hada bunch of money to play with my FC, i would probably get the Greddy Power Extreme Catback. that runs like 900 bucks. dual 60mm to 80mm piping with 2 mufflers and 2 presilencers. great flow and keeps it quiet.

The Racing Beat seems to be very popular and is a good exhaust. I use an Apex N1 that I really like. Any of the brand name systems are going to be good. If you start looking in the JC Whitney catalog for a generic system with a fart can it's going to be annoyingly loud.

There is alot of debate on single vs dual exhaust, most people like the looks of the dual over the single but I think the single flows better performance wise.

HKS, Racing Beat, Apex, Greddy... any of those would be awesome and they would all be really close in performance.

if i had the money RE-A dolphin tailed titanium exhaust, its a pretty trick piece, but really for day to day driving a good stainless catback, such as border, or apexi GT spec (what i have) would be good, but if you have the cash, go with a good titanium such as JIC.

See the problem with those system is like I have never really found people that bought those systems and could comment on the power they gave out. Mazdaspeed makes exhaust, are they any good?
When I say Best Exhaust I mean performance wise too.

You can always follow bingoboy and myself and go the Borla route :-)

The reason I said the Racing Beat is because it's an entire system that replaces the cats.. the ting with Racing Beat thou it's it's not a SS system.. it's Mild Steel.. I see you are in Cali.. I was too tired before to notice.. so I don't know if you want to go that route becuae of smog.

Why would Stainless or regular steel have an impact on smog?

I would think the lack of cat would have a much greater effect on smog than if it's ss or mild steel

Does this completly take the cats out? But has a muffler or what?

Ahhh I see its just a silencer :P my bad

Could silencers clog up at all?
