use the low speed I have a 13b-rew swap in my car with a big FMIC..

trust me you don't need the high speed on the taurus fan.

CFM and AMP draw are the most important when looking at fans. A hi AMP fan will put a large load on the alternator. If you have a low AMP alt, this could cause problems. At idle, this will cause problems with some high amp alts depending on what pulleys you have or where your idle is set.

My opinion is that for fitment, price, availability, current draw and airflow, you will be hard pressed to beat the GM fans from the Pontiac 6000, big Oldsmobiles, Pontiac Grand Am, etc.

http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/efaninstall.htm

They pull a good current spike when they start up (all fans do) but run at around 10-15A.

Aaron, have you tested the GM fan personally? What year range was the pontiac 6000 made?

Yes, I've tested it myself. The P6K was available from the mid '80s to the early '90s. It was truly a POS...

yeah i dunno if any one has said it yet but the larger diameter fan you can find in general the more efficient its going to be.
