best ecu for bridgeported t2

i know several forum memebers reccomend the haltech e6k and several have had good results using the e6k and bported cars. but what other options do i have? i want someone who has had good experience with half bridge turbo2s. i figure the haltech would run 1600 including tuning. so anything cheaper would be great. thanks.

Yo, Razor

We do have an EMS/ECU section. People there will have more info for you. But microtech is a stand alone and I think megasquirt only does fuel.

I paid about 600 for my microtech LT-8, wich comes with a NEW wiring harness all you have to do is add the plugs. The dash unit was 350. Due to exchange rates the prices were a bit higher last time I checked. It was VERY easy to install, however tuning is over my head.

Running a Microtech LT8 on mines. There are numerous discussions on Haltech E6K vs Microtech LT8

Great systems but you have to decide which fits you more and how much you want to spend. Remember, an aftermarket ECU is as only as good as the tuner.

thats because i asked the question WHICH ECU is best. there was no mention of a microtech in my original post. thats why i put it in the main ecu section.

Like anything, you get what you pay for, so you should buy the best you can afford. IMO, with a potentially "grumpy" engine like a bridgeport you'll probably get better results with the Haltech than the MicroTech. Not more power, just a bit more useable torque and better drivability becuase of the increased resolution. But it'll cost more, and take more time to tune to get those results. Of course a MoTec would be even better...

Expect to lay out $5000, plus tuning.

Any specific reason you can't look up the prices yourself? Google -> Motec pricing....
