Best Darn Stuff I Can Buy...I Need Reccomendations!
OK, as some of you may well know, I am having to pull my engine soon to fix some stuff I broke. I will have to drain all the fluids, so I need some reccomendations. I currently run Valvoline 5W-30 oil, and I keep seein guys run 20W-50. Also, how much and what brand of coolant should I get? I will also be replacing my fuel filter. Brand and type to buy would help. I am gonna try and do this pull this weekend, but I might have torn my rotator cuff in my right shoulder, so I may have to wait a while. Thanks for any advice!!!!

"Rotator cuff", sort of ironic...
I just use 50/50 Prestone - distilled water.
Oil used is Castrol GTX 20w50. (it's warm here - I'm in FL)
OEM fuel filter.

It's warm here as well...Texas. I use the 5W-30 b/c that is what the NAPA parts guide reccomends. So the OEM fuel filter is best? I might as well get a OEM oil filter as well. Keep em commin!!
Good call on the irony! I hurt it removing the bolts that are the problem I have to fix. Dripping w/ irony.....

I use the GTX 20-50 also.
That evans stuff is suppose to be pretty awesome, but you need to flush all the water out of the system first.

5 w30 should only be used if the temp is under 30F although it should really be under 0F.
You are not protecting your engine if you are driving temps above 30F using 5W30.
I use 20W50 GTX, and 50/50 distilled water/ prestone, with yearly coolant changes.
I use Castrol LMA brake fluid or Valvoline dot 3-4 synthetic (I only use the LMA in my truck that see occasional off road activity) Again yearly changes.
redline MT90 in the tranny and shock proof in the diff.

well...yes... the wrong grade low will mean it will run off the important parts too quick.
This means in therory you could be running with engine parts not lubed or not lubed enough to protect from wear.
