My red interior is faded. Especially the carpet. There are parts of the carpet in the cockpit that are faded from the original red (burgundy??) to a non-discript dirty beige. It needs help!!

Anybody successfully dyed their carpet? Can it be brought back to the red/burgundy color? What works to dye it? What colors work? Advice? Suggestions? Discussion?

I have a friend that used some kind of carpet dye in his camaro. Changed it from beige to black and he says that it constently rubs off, so... Maybe it was just the brand of dye that he use, but I dunno.

 

just replace the carpet... the only thing including hatch area is under $200
