Best 60ft's Possible with FC Suspension?

I wanted to know how some of you guys setup your suspension for good 60ft times. What stocks/springs, bushings, custom bars, etc...

I run a 2.2 in my 86 n/a with eibach's and tokico 5-way's, with khumo 712's. Just basic bolt ons on the motor.

Slicks with adj. shocks should get you there, i have run 1.9 in a FD on street tires with stock suspension.

Enzo, I have cut a 1.8 on road race tires, and Koni yellows set for road race. A set of HKS, or Koni Drag race shocks, and ET streets should get youa 1.5 capability no problem. Your friend Carl

Im going to be putting in a pinion snubber, good bushings, and slicks on the car very soon.
I still unsure on what coilovers to use...

Anyone know of any good drag race setups?

I plan to cut my springs and install broken struts and pull my best run yet. 2.3!!!!!!!

Really though. The best I've pulled was a 2.4 in my 88SE
and it ran a 17.4

My GTU pulled a 2.6 and ran a 17.1 so I know there's a prob with the SE.

Jeasus.... These cars have some pretty bad 60ft times. I'd move the battery to the back, run some pretty decent 50/50's in the back and some 90/10's in the front. You've got to get the nose up on launch so it squats in the back. A rear strut bar and stiffining would be great cause I have a lot of wheel hop on my car, and its just NA with basic bolt ons.

Oh yeah, putting the battery in the back is going to DRAMATICALLY increase your 60 ft times....

Why dont I just toss a sandbag in the trunk and save myself the hassle of installing a cut-off switch.

Hmmm. Me thinks maybe letting the clutch out a bit while holding E-brake will squat rearend and produce little better time???

Me wrong??explain better way..

Basically the method I use. Not good on the clutch, but then again your drag racing.... You are already abusing your clutch!

Just if I may chime in here, you don't particulary want an IRS(at least an FC's IRS) car to squat much to get a great launch.

Too much squat = shitloads of negative camber which does NOT help 60ft times one bit.

Ya but what kind he want's to know. There is a VAST difference between different manufacturers. And among models of the same manufacturer. Saying what you did is like saying you'll want rubber tires you won't find any better. It doesnt really help anybody.

Exactly Rx7 turbo2!!!

i don't want to jump into a set of coilovers without knowing if they'll work for drag racing.

I've seen hks drag coilovers for supra's i wonder whats different about those over other coilovers?

Calling professional drag racers who actually run the stuff would be better than asking people on here. I havent seen one useful answer in this thread.

Most professionals run 8.8's or 9" rears.

There are some very smart people on this board so i wouldn't underestimate it.

I think i'll probably end up getting a set of koni's custom valved for drag.

the reason a lot of guys here have really shitty 60ft times is that they're using shitty 205 series tires.

So why did you post what you did. Your only adding to the ****. I know I went off topic, but only in an effort to get you to stop posting either irrelevant or wrong information.

Larger tires will help out a great deal. 205s will not cut it. I have found that I can get a much better takeoff with my 245s then I ever could even with my 225s. Huge friggin difference.
