Oh, nonsense.
My daily driver for the past 8 years was a 1971 240 Z and in comparison the RX is a real luxo-barge.
Imagine, heat that works, AC, a stereo you can actually hear and it handles fine.
Cheap insurance helps offset the atrocious gas mileage and it is still rare enough to catch folk's eye when you pass.
I live in Denver and I'm not sure where the idea that a 7 won't run in the snow came from either...I've got some beater rims with all season tires and it does as well as any other non four wheel drive car does.
Seems like a pretty good choice to me.

who cares. what you want for a daily driver is preference + nothing more.

the only thing i miss of my A/C system is the defog. it does ok defoging still but, i have to run the heat. out here in the country where there is a lot of fog cover in twilight defog is a must. i do allright with out the weight and obsticals under the hood. but using the heater to defog in the summer kinda sux. with the exception of the pseudo sports remark i agree with ericgrau.

case by case. if you "need" it keep it. if your a hot rodder with no need for anything but performance, call it ***** and get on down the road.

That's a ridiculous statement. I've been daily driving mine for six years, and it's proven to be a reliable and fun way to get to work.

If you can't afford to do something like that, you probably in reality cannot afford the FC as a daily driver either, do some math on your gas expenses and maintenance costs and you'll probably see you should stop driving the car.
I guess my experience proves this completely wrong. And yes, I have done the maths.

LOL.. "the maths". Hehe. Just playin man.

All of my Rx-7's have been reliable as well. Well, maybe not reliable, but as reliable as any OTHER car that old has been. Actually, I have a 93 Nissan Sentra that sucks ***** compared to my 91 RX-7. And it has LESS miles, and was well kept in a rust free environment with regular maintenance.
