Belt slipping?
Today I was driving and gunned my car to hear a noise from the engine. It's hard to explain what it sounded like almost like a clunk/scrapping noise. I immediately let off and it stopped. My car drove fine after that, so nothing broke. Could it have been a belt slipping? Anyone know what it sounds like? I recently changed the power steering, a/c, and air pump belts. The only one I haven't changed yet is the alternator. Thanks in advance for your replies.

a bealt slipping usualy makes a high-pictched squealing sound, kinda like tires spinning, but higher-pitched. if it was clunking/scraping, i dunno what it could be.
