NJ Bellhousing bolt

I'm putting a manual transmission in my 87 automatic. I have removed all of the bolts mating the transmission to the engine, except for the center top hook bolt. I cannot get a tool to grab onto it good enough and is making me crazy. why is that bolt in such a horrible spot. Can someone please tell me the easiest way to remove it? Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

from the passenger side, under the wioer motor area...
I used a "bendy" 14mm ratchet wrench.

You can always get at it from under the car with a wobble extension and about 9 inches of extension and a ratchet.

If you manage to bend a wrench without breaking it, lemme know.

You can buy bent wrenches at the store.

i always found it easiest to get to them with the upper intake manifold off. with everything assembled i have a 3' 1/2" extension with a snap on wobbly 14mm socket for such an occasion, but yeah i doubt you wanna spend $100 just for the tools to do it.

if you think this is bad try an automatic RX8, the engine is about a foot further back.

Alright thanks guys. I'll go buy a bendy wrench and see how that goes. otherwise I might actually take the UIM off. It could use a cleaning and a rebuild anyways. Thanks again guys

if you drop the mount(trans) you can Tilt the whole engine/trans down by pulling on the tail stock..It should then be visible from under the car or at least you would be able to feel it.
