Bell housing Cleaning

I searched and asked around locally and these are the answers i got as far as chemicals to clean u my bell housing:

Starting Fluid
Brake Parts Cleaner
Carb/Choke Cleaner
Greased Lightning

How many of these are going to be safe on my seals and different things like that? The tranny is off the car because im changing the clutch. The front cover is also off because that gasket leaked a slight bit too. I know the clutch parts have to be cleaned with brake parts cleaner. Any other suggestions are welcomed too.

Mineral spirits, a wire brush, and some elbow grease.

Pressure washer for the outside plumbed with hot water.

Brake Clean (3M non-chlorinated I've found is the best) and a wire brush.

Scrub, wash, rinse, repeat about a dozen times

seal up all the openings and take it to get sand blasted after you have removed all the dirt and oil.

Damn that looks nice. I would do that but funds and a few other things don't permit. Not to mention that there isn't anywhere around me to get things sand blasted. I will definitely do that when I buy my turbo tranny, drive shaft and rear to put in my N/A because I heard the N/A tranny is kind of delicate. When I do that though I might also get it powder coated or at least clear coated so it stays nice looking.

sounds good too Aaron Cake will definitely try that. For the inside and some of the outside i just picked up some Purple Power because its cheap($6 a gallon) it works really good for the inside when combined with a wire brush and hot water with some kind of laundry detergent powder from Sams Club. Will definetly finish the whole thing with brake cleaner and the wire brush on a drill.
