What are the housings where the bearings are called? i have a 4 lug and it's this aluminum piece that comes off the disc and spindle.the bearing cup for the inside (or outside, the big one) bearing just moves around all ***** nilly, and i figure it may need to not be that way, lol. so what are they called? i get a lot of steering wheel vibration and it's also caused over .011 of runout in my front right disc. thanks!

Sounds like the wheel bearing race spun and ate into your hub. Junkyard or classifieds is your best bet... Otherwise prepare to spend big bucks at the dealership....

 

Two bearings have gone out on me (across 5 cars)... so I just went to the junkyard, picked up a hub, and slapped it on. You can find FCs all day at the junkyard especially in norcal.

 

where at in nor cal? i've looked all over up here, fairfield, woodland, dixon, rancho cordova, no one seems to have anything for my car. lol its the same with my other car, so i'm used to it by now....
