If you go to the track at all in this car, I recommend you DO NOT PERFORM THIS MOD-- Not unless you're willing to purchase a good battery box and cut-off switch-- and are willing to run a ton of cable
Yeah. Like I pointed out earlier, if you do it properly youll end up with about 30-40ft of battery cable running around your car

I use "cheapie" marine battery boxes you can get from Kragen/Schucks/Checkers or KMart ($7.99!).&nbsp I use a pair of angle brackets for the rear and bend them to match the angle from the back end of the comparment.&nbsp The fronts drill straight down into the chassis.&nbsp I managed to install one recently in 2 hours from start to finish.&nsp This does not include the wiring, but that doesn't take me more than another hour to do.

I really should do a nice pic write-up for this...

You should. I have a nice box laying in my garage with a crap load of wire, grommets, bolts, nuts, etc waiting to be installed. I got smart and decided to actually work on things that need fixing first, though.
