Battery problem.

my battery seems to die everytime the car sits for like 2 days. anyone else have this problem?
---backgorund--- the alternator was replaced prob under 100mi ago. i also removed the fuse for the headlight motors because i got in an accident and the motors drain the battery and supposedly killed the other alternator. no i didnt leave the headlights on. i dont have anything extra hooked up to the battery. no amps no subs. when driving the volts are above 12 a little ways. and i thik the battery was replaced with the alternator if i remember right ---
i think thats about it that someone would most likely ask. o ya and after this happens il jsut let the car run for like 40 min or so and the battery will be charged back up to 12ish. and have no problems.

Sounds like you have a current draw.

Using a digital multi-meter, what is your idle draw with everything off???

Should be less than 70MA.

Also if the battery has been drawed flat (to the point when it will not crank the car) more than a couple of times, the battery will be waisted and need replacing. A bettery looses half its remaining life everytime it is drained flat.

might be a parasitic drain
if i were you i would get ahold of a multimeter and test to see if the battery is being drawn from when car is off
it wont take much to kill the battery in a two day span
if there is a drain i'd start pulling fuses and testing everything till i found it
it might be easy, or a major pain in the *** as many electrical problems can be
good luck

20-30 bucks? Home Depot/Orchard Supply, etc should have them in the electrical section.
