Battery draining while parked, login staying on with car off..

Tried searching. Everyone's problem seems to be logicon not turning on. My sh*t won't turn OFF!!

Idiot lights, radio, and wipers all work.

Logicon just won't turn the hell off.

Also. Only the indicator lights on the logicon work. As in like when you pick out of which vent they blow. The backing lights no longer come on.

Can I just take the piece of sh*t out, and be done with it? I don't need it. The car is just my weekend warrior. And the blower doesn't ever work anyways.

Soooo confused with your post. If I understand your post correctly:

1 - You have a battery drain issue
2 - Idiot lights, radio, and wipers all work as it should
3 - Logicon just won't turn off. I assume while the key is off the ignition

Have you tried disconnecting the logicon and see if the battery drain issue goes away?

Sorry if that seemed retarded. It was a pretty frantic post. I was kinda at a red light, and wanted to try and get everything out.

Battery drains, and I'm assuming its the logicon since it won't turn the hell off.

I can take my key out, put my alarm on, and the logicon is still (partially) illuminated.

I say partially because like I said in the first post, the backing lights don't work.

So you are saying the logicon lights suddenly won't turn off at the same time the issue with you backup lights started?

S4 or S5?

When I say backing lights, I mean the lights that illuminate the logicon. Not the reverse lights.

But no, the logicon backing lights stopped working a few months ago.

This problem started a few days ago

Hmmm, I am looking at the diagram in the FSM and the logicon only gets switched ignition, so there is no constant wire going to it.

First thing I would suggest is to unplug the ignition cylinder and see what happens, then go from there. Usually, I would work my way from the logicon toward the ignition, but since it's such a bitch to remove...

Does the car have the additional auxillary electric fan in front of the radiator?

On an S5 w/no auxillary fan the logicon receives power from the Wiper fuse though this should only occur w/key to on. You could perform an amperage draw test and isolate the circuit causing the drain.

Absolutely terrible with anything electrical. Is this test pretty easy to execute?

Rule out the ignition switch by unplugging it. I can guide you from there.
