battery

Ive been having some starting issues with my car and my friend and some people on here have been telling me that they could be battery related (possibly a dead cell in the battery or battery not big enough) Before i went out and bought a new battery i just wanted to get the specs on what battery is needed or works best for my car. (88' T2) I have a 540CCA battery right now, ive been told i need 750CCA

You don't need 750cca. Anything over 400 will start the car fine. group size is 24 with positive on the right.

what are your starting issues? if the starter is turning the engine over strong but just not starting the battery is fine, describe what's happening it's most likley flooding or that the problem or your compression is really low.

sometimes it will start right up no problem, other times it will start to crank and then it will sound like its gonna turn over but dosent (if you give it gas right at the point where it sounds like it will turn over it will turn over sometimes) and then other times it just cranks and does that but wont turn over or even try to turn over. 9 times out of 10 it will start cold, but if you drive it around, and then turn the car off, wait 5 minutes, and then try it wont start. im starting to think its possibly an issue where the engine is being flooded (possibly an injector being stuck open) also i just found out i need a new fuel pump.

oh and does anyone have any information on replaceing or re welding a rear differential mount? im pretty sure mine just went... when in 1st or R, it makes a loud thud and then occassionaly in other gears.

Technically, I think it's a Group "24F".
I think the 24F is slightly smaller than a full "24".
I think Mazda spec is 400CCA minimum.

Whoever told you to get a 750CCA battery is trying to bend you over.
