Question banjo bolt???-p damper??

Hey, I read in the postings here that to take care of the pulsation damper fuel leak problem to get another pimary fuel rail and to use the banjo bolt off the back of it to replace the pulsation damper on the front of yours. No one said anything about the front banjo being larger sized towards the front!! How do you get a good seal on that banjo. Info appreciated please.

Thanks
Gerrard

Well you can start with a gasket kit and cut out a gasket for the bolt. I'd cut out two, use some thermal poxy on both sides of your new gasket, tighten it up, and hope for the best.

I thought someone here had a link to a banjo bolt and new valve (part that fuel line connects to) for the end of the primary fuel rail...

maybe its in my favorites, i'll look...

Hey if you still have your PD, I was thinking. Why not just take off the cap of it (Not the plastic one, but the metal one, use a small screw driver and pry off the edges), when you take it off, it should expose the diaphram. Remove that ****, and all you need is a line of site with the inner tubing that leads to the fuel rail. Use a die and tap set and make threads in that hole, then tighten it up with a small bolt, with epoxy on the threads, and a rubber washer on the end of the bolt, im sure that will work perfectly.

Thumbs up resolution-banjo bolt problem

Take the pulsation damper off the front of the primary fuel rail saving the two copper crush washers, one large towards the PD side of the front banjo and one small towards the rail side of the front banjo and the banjo itself.Take the banjo bolt off the back of a spare primary fuel rail and save the small copper crush washers. Put all three small crush wahers on the fuel rail side of the front banjo and put the one large crush washer on the front side of the banjo and put the banjo bolt thru the whole assembly and mount on the front of the primary you're using. Make sure to tighten enough to get a good seal from the crush washers. This will make up for the slightly longer length of thread the banjo bolt has.

Have fun

The sizes of the fittings differ from Primary to secondary fuel rails. The size of the banjo bolt on the primary fuel rail is 12mm x 1.25" The banjo bolt on the secondary fuel rail is 14MM x 1.5"--which I know because I retrofitted a Marren Pro Fuel Dampener.

You can run a banjo bolt in place of the PD, so I've heard, just be sure to use the crush washers to avoid any leaks.
