Exclamation bang for your bucks

i have about 2/3 grand to spend on a good upgrade i have an s5 turbo so i was thinking maby get a nice tank of noz in the back or is there a better bang for your buck. the car is not a daily driver so it can take as long as it needs to be done. dont say dino cus i have one and i use it all the time to tune the car. i was also thinking about a motec system but i just dont no.

The cheapest most bang for the buck upgrade is to repace the main cat with a straight pipe. Less than $100 for aprox 40 hp

motec with a T2? What other mods do you have? If your car is heavily modded and it's potential is being held back by the stock ECU then spend your money on a Haltech or Wolf 3D.

well thats a tough question. it really depends on what you like, and what you want.
i think the most obvious would be to get yourself an upgraded turbo system. mabe a front mount. those are some pretty serious ways to up performance.
or you could do a lot of "smaller" things like exhaust, intake, SAFC, ect.....
it really does depend on your "taste"
me personally. i would go with the turbo upgrad! i like to do the expensive stuff first since those are the hardest things to afford. (if you have the money to do it fisrt like it sounds like you can do.)

Go for da nozz dawg! you'll be all pimp n **** yo!

Dinos are the best to tune on, I usually get on my T-Rex with my wideband and go at it all day. I am #1 at dino tuning!

Nozzz = teh fastest

BTW a nitrous oxide system won't cost you 2 - 3 grand ... If that's your thing go ahead and then spend some more on other "more important" upgrades. Just my $0.02.

Cripes, you can't give the guy advice without even knowing what he has to work with in the first place! List your mods!

Ok, then start from the ground up. How many miles does your car have on it, and how well is it running?

How do you use a dyno to tune a totally stock engine? Isn't that overkill just for setting the idle?

Also, a Motec EMS must be a lot less expensive where you live. Not too many Americans will recommend one for your budget because here it costs about $3,500 - $12,000 USD to have one installed and tuned, depending on the options.

There also is no need for a stand alone if your car is completely stock. Start with the basics, get a turbo timer first of all, new exhaust, and see how much money you have left.
