Well i went to start my car and it flooded so i did the fuel pump fuse pull trick and when i went to start it again it backfired like none other. so when i went to look at what happend, the muffler was completly blown apart like a clam shell. so did i just have a bad muffler or is there somthing else im missing. i dont want to throw more parts on this thing if its just gonna blow em apart.

P.S. i also i checked the timing not long ago

 

When you unflooded it the extra gass probly collected in the muffler and when it finally did fire the gas trail ignited and blew the muffler open. I seen the same thing happen in our shop at school but that particular time was because the timing was off.

also i forgot to metion that the pre cats were taken out by the prevous owner i dont know if that bad on the car or not?
