Question Ball joint replacement

What is involved in replacing the passenger side ball joint and is it expensive?

It's relatively easy, the ball joint is all bolt on,2 bolts to the lower control arm,one nut to the hub carrier. The cost is less than $50 for the ball joint from Mazda.

Is it the same setup on the '90 as the early 7's? My lower control arms are cast aluminum, and there aren't any bolts holding it in(press in). BTW I take it that that is $50 Canadian?

J9fd3s is correct.I don't know the price of the lower control arm assembly. It would be cheaper to get a used 86-88 arm and a new ball joint. They are interchangeable.(It was $C)

Forgot to mention that the sway bar link fitting is different on the 86-88 LCA and may require some tinkering.
