ball joint question

I'm looking at replacing my ball joint, and am wondering what is the standard way to do so. At NAPA they sell the whole assembly:

http://www.napaonline.com/cgi-bin/nc...grpid=87981244

but is this neccessary? Or could i just replace it the joint itself with this?

Thanks in advance

I can't browse to that site (they dump me at a server error, looks like their database is down), but you can just replace the joint itself. Two bolts removes it from the A-arm.

Is there any specific advantage to replacing the A-arm and are the ebay ones are comparable to the NAPA ones?
thanks again
