BADDDD Hesitations!
Good Day!
I have been slowly working on my 87 GXL Turbo swap. I swapped in a Turbo motor and all accessories. I deleted my emissions and power steering, and A/C.
I used the s4 NA harness.
I have set the TPS per the DMM and light method. Timing is right at 900 rpm. I have checked the intake for leaks (using brake cleaner, and electronics cleaner, and propane), no leaks!
When I try to accelerate, the car hesitates very badly! I have checked the TPS resistance by every means possible, and it checks out!
Two questions: Could a BAD exhaust leak cause this? Second, Could a loose throttle cable cause this?
I was thinking that with a turbo motor, the exhaust leak would not hurt it. The throttle cable I didn't think would be that big of a deal because the TPS is also "activated" by the throttle linkage and would be off the same amount as the throttle plates.
Any input into my horrible hesitation would be great!
P.S. The car will rev to redline but it takes a LOOONGG time and it sputters and hesitates ALOT getting there!
Thanks!
Rob

I checked the throttle cable and linkage. Everything is to specs!
I drove the car around a little and it stalls if I let off the gas completely following hesitation. It will not start back up unless I wait about 1 minute.
I regrounded the injectors and several other things using large guage wire and cleaned all of the contact points with a wire wheel.
If anybody can think of anything, I would appreciate it!
Also, the alarm buzzer is steady going off! There are no idiot lights on. The oil is full and the radiator is full. I tried to ground the low water sensor and it is still going off.
Does anybody think the buzzer and car running crappy are related?
THanks!

I have grounded the oil level sensor and also unplugged it to try to get teh buzzer to stop. Neither procedure worked.
New info!:
I changed out the ECU - no difference
I changed out the AFM - No difference
I checked the coils - within specs
I checked compression - 3 bounces each rotor lowest being 105
I regrounded the ECU, motor, tranny, and injector grounds - no difference
When I checked the compression, I found out the plugs were BLACK! These are new plugs with maybe 2 hours of run time on them! They are not burnt black (yet), the black wiped off.
Isn't this a symptom of running rich?
I guess I am going to buy a wideband! I still don't understand what the hell is wrong!

Well, I don't have a blown apex seal (good compression was discussed in previous post).
I don't understand why it won't work!
I thought getting a wideband would be a good idea, but it is not like I can change the A/F ratio anyway, so what good does it do?
THis is starting to **** me off!
