Bad using only 1 main ground?
Hi all. I "Guess" I have been only using the main ground on my starter the last few months. This one has been unbolted from the body the whole time..

I am going to find the right bolts to get it back connected but ... do you think there were any ill effects? I did blow a side seal but I really don't think that has anything to do with the grounding. But I could be wrong...
Thanks.

Yaaa... that is what I thought. I was wondering if maybe that ground went to anything specific? Like .. not just a generic extra ground, like was the only ground for ... power steering or AC or something..
Thanks
Thanks
It's the chassis gnd. Remember the gnds for the tail lights as an example. They gnd to the chassis. IF the chassis isn't gnd'd to the batt negative post, then the gnd has to travel to the engine/transmission/exhaust whatever to make its way to the neg terminal on the batt. Not a good way to gnd something. Reinstall the bolt.
