Bad throttle response on of our 7?
i've never actually seen a tread of this sort but i would like to know peoples opinions.
in my rx7, whenever i have to shift up to my next gear. i always get what i belive is a throttle lag. i can always see this as the rpm jump an extra 300-450 rpm then come rolling down as decelation continues. when i let go of the clutch. car the clutch grabs it and drops the rpms down to it's speed / rpm range.
for example if im at 2k and i let go of the gas then press the clutch. the rpm will jump go to 2300-2400 rpms till i engage the clutch. now my feet work quick so as soon as i release the gas i press the clutch. i give it at about only about a 1/2 sec before i release the clutch. that's with normal diving when im not trying to shift fast. i only get this when im under 4k rpms
is it normal to see this slow throttle response from the lower rpm range?

Could also be the TPS, if it has a spike in exactly a certain region it will do this. Make sure you check it with an analog ohm meter to see if there are spikes... it's something you should check anyway.
When mine finally went out it would constantly try to rev the car up to ~3k if the clutch was in, but not while it was out, it would have no effect when it was out.

Read your sensors out at the ECU to make sure everything's working right, including the TPS (also hit the AFM & boost sensor).
Don't push the clutch before you take your foot of the gas, too
