Bad starter?

I've been having some problems with my rx7 not starting, tried jumping it like 2 weeks ago and it wouldn't start. Next day the car started right up and I drove it around for about a week. I went to school and went out to start it and it wouldnt start. I had to push start it, so I obviously new there was a starter problem. Well now when I try to start the car, it cranks but wont turnover. Could this still be a starter problem?

It could be any part of the charging & starting system.
Rotaries have to crank fairly fast to build enough compression to start, so even a weak cable connection or a high mileage/low compression engine can amplify the problem.
