bad mpg + stalling + weird noise = ?

Hi,
Ive got a new alternator, new battery, the air filter is clean, dont know about the fuel filter or fuel pump though.I get only 140miles on a full tank on my 86 GXL.Also,my car stalls sometimes when i stop it in traffic. This happensonly when its completely warmed up though.
What would cause all this?
PS; my TPS is fine

Check your spark plug wires. I'll bet they're switched.

Might also be a vacuum leak. Cheap, DIY troubleshooting. It just takes time to track down...

If you don't know the history of the Fuel Filter than change It. Your symptoms are simular to that of a clogged (partial) Fuel Filter.
