Bad MAP Sensor, will the 7 run???
I was told that because the nipple on the Mass Air Pressure sensor was broke that would be the highlighting problem as to why my car won't start. They said that due to the electronics and computer system a blank reading on the manifold pressure won't allow the car to start. I just want to get a second opinion and see what you all say to this matter. Greatly appreciate any help....this is starting to **** me off!!!!

Won't effect starting AT ALL. Key word *Start*.
It will effect the normal operation of the engine. But not Starting in any way at all.
The ECU does not look at this sensor during Start. And even if it did, during starting there is virtually no vacuum being drawn against the sensor. Mute point.
I've posted graphs out of the training manual as to what the ECU looks at during start. Search for Graph and Hailers or Chart and Hailers. But the search function seems to be disfunctional.
