BAD GROUND: Oil Pressure Gauge is Broken =(
Well when i first did my transmission swap. Car use to be automatic, i converted it to stick shift. The first two tranny's were bad and when i was putting in my third transmission i forgot to ground the starter to the back of the engine.
I went to crank the car and the stray voltage was grouding thru my Stainless Steel Clutch line, until that caught on fire temporarily.
Ever since that my oil pressure gauge, when the car is off, is negative, wheni start the car it works (or so i assume), but i dont think that its giving me a proper reading.
Is it my GAUGE in my cluster that is broken, or is it the oil sending unit under the oil filter that the plastic peice slides onto?
Thanks

You can use the procedures in the FSM to test the gauge. I think it is something like turning on the car then disconnecting the sender. The gauge should fall to zero. Grounding it momentarily should make it shoot to the top.
