Bad Electric

it's really pissing me off but this is what goes.

my buddy gave me an after market head unit for free so i decided to go along and play with this new cd play i got from him. I cut the requred wires i needed from the harness and plugged it to my used head unit. turns out Head unit didnt even work... anyways. i had it still plugged in when i was driving around just wouthout any raidio. then i knotice two things. my car was running like dog crap and my clock on my dash was incorrect... so i set it up again and left it at that and i figured me running with no air pump must of cloged up the cat by some sort. i went to an local electronic store and did my thing.

well anyways i went back to my car and the clock reseted back to 0.00 time. but was blinking. also the power to my car was still running like crap for some odd reason. anyways i knew wireing behind the head unit was F-uped. so i took off the face plate.. when i did the my car had the power back again and then my the clock on my dash started working again. i figured i miswired the the whole thing.

anyways i disconnected the wires from the head unit to make sure i wasnt letitng bad wires sit for nothing. there is still something wrong though...

when ever i press the lights uptop to view or read something in the dark... my dash's Door open Ajar thing comes up and the clock turns off also the light uptop doesn work. this also hapens when i open the door. the clock turns off and resets untill i close my door again.

It's really annoying. when i press my light button on the freaken door ajar light comes on not only that. the light doesn't work and turns off my clock..

also clock turns off whenever the car shuts off.

i already cut the harness to the head unit so i really can't splice back my old raidio. i know it has to do something around there. anyone have a clue what's going on?

hahahaha.

you cut the wrong wires. simple as that.

get the fsm wiring schematic and figure out which ones to use and how to splice them back together correctly.

fsm available at:

i heard that site isn't good anymore... check the FAQ if it doesn't work
But dude, sounds like you cut the wrong wires... and from what you're saying, it's possible somebody rewired it wrong too... so make sure the wires go to the right place before you run it, eh?
