Bad Crank Angle Sensor?
My car acts like the timing is advancing randomly at times.
Some days it will idle fine at 750 (which I set when I believe it was 5 degrees retarded) and then at the next light it will bump up to like 1000-1100 rpms and accelerate like a bat out of hell.
When it idles at 750 it acts like it is pulling an anchor behind it. When I get up around 6k rpm, it shakes a little and starts loosing power.
When idle is at 1000 or so, it will pull till the buzzer screams.
I am wondering if my CA senser is going out and messing my timing up. I am going to throw a light on it this weekend when I get back north and see whats up.
Any other suggestions as to why the idle and performance would move like that?

Well, per the Haynes manual, I tested my CA sensor with an OHM meter and it came out perfect.
My timing is jumping all over the place however. I threw the timing light on it and at idle it was fine. Rev it up and the timing would come back to rest in its proper place half the time and the other half it would disappear and flutter back after some hiccups.
I will have to begin looking at other options now.....maybe ECU? TPS?
Any suggestions from the gurus out there?
