Bad Clutch? did research
Bad Clutch? did research
Ok, all this searching is giving me a headache, theres no direct answers, although my problem might be a little ambiguos.
-clutch is alot lighter in terms of pressing and depressing it(not as heavy)
-the gear engages alot closer (when resleasing it about an inch or so) as opposed to half-way
This just recently started happening, any ideas, suggestions?
I love my car, I don't want to lose her. =(
Thanks guys

i think its the slave, if it was your clutch going, it would be hard to shift into first and reverse and if it was your master, your shifter will randomly stick to the floor, even when the clutch gets disengaged. atleast thats what happened to me so far. hehe

yeah if you do the pump test and it gets better i'd say fix it as soon as you can becuz it started happening to me and a few months later my clutch got worn faster than usual and i shouldnt have to tell you how hard it is to get the flywheel bolt off without air tools or a lift
Does sound like the hydraulics. Have you checked the fluid level? It's easy enough to replace the slave and master clutch clys.
To test the clutch itself. I will park on a hill and see how much it slips when I try and drive up it from a dead stop. if the pedal is out and it's sliping then clutch is probably bad but as I said above it sounds like clutch itself isn't the problem.
