ok this is what is happening. It takes a few minutes of coaxing to get the motor going. After the car is on and running for several minutes the turbo starts to glow red hot. I've had one side of my headers glow red hot before on my NA fc and that was definately a bad apex seal. Could it be the same thing on the turboII? Someone else told me that it could be running lean and causing the turbo to glow. But i can definately smell ample amounts of gas. Any help would be appreciated.
