Backfiring?????

my car make a loud pop niose when changing gears at high rpm or just when i rev the car up about 6000rpm or so
how can this be fixed?????
what is causing this????
is it bad for my car??

its normal.

you might not know this, but if u you have a free flowing exhaust, w/ no obstructions (ie: catalytic converter, baffles in ur muffler, harsh bends) you can shoot out sweet as flames due to these "pops" in ur exhaust.

thats what the larger diameter exhausts do, unless it is as loud as a back fire, then you should check into it. The popping is perftectly normal.
