i have a 1988 se and i pulled the hatch lever and i poped open and when i tried to close it it whould not close no mater how hard i slamed it or pushed it down it whould not close so i thought the locks where frozen so i heated them up and slamed the hatch shutand it still whould not close .so what should i do piz help

 

I may be 100% wrong but try repulling the latch lever.... Incase the latches got closed.
