back fire???

i'm getting alot of small back fire while my engine is cold. what could it be?thanx

Welcome to the RX7 world. My car does the same until she's warmed up. First of all, I would check the timing on your car. If the timing is good, then I don't really know what to tell you. I'm sure everyone here will say his/her car does the same until it's warmed up.

thats weird cause my car does it even when it is warm.....it did it alot when it was stock but as soon as i installed catback exhaust it lessened the popping...well see what happens when i install the full turbo back

mine backfires when i let off the gas i always thought it was normal though

no that is the flames.... were talking about at idle its a little pop pop then exhaust noise then pop pop maybe throw in a ping or two

if it back fire when you let of the gas...its most likly a TPS problem
