BAC wiring...

So I found a splice that has come undone on my BAC harness / plug. Probably why I'm always chasing a steady idle....

Anyway, the previous owner used butt crimps to splice the two wires together and both have pulled off. But, each side has different colors.

Coming off the main harness side is solid black and a black w white or brown tracer.
Coming off the BAC plug side is solid white and white w a red tracer.

Does the polarity matter here..?? Thank you for any help.

polarity shouldn't matter in this case.

my kinda valve...

One of my prior threads searching for a cure to my wacky idle, someone was saying cold start is non-existent over 75 degrees... Well without BAC wired in it was COMPLETLY non existent. Now that it's wired back up, at start tach hits at least 2k before dropping to an idle.
