BAC valve pictures

Anyone got a good picture of the bac valve hooked up in the car??

I got my car all hooked up but it just starts, revs to 2k and dies. I am pretty sure its the bac valve...havnt exactly found where the opening on the valve is. The one that is under it...i know there was a hose there, but I cant figure out where It would lead too.

Also I removed the ACV and there use to to be a bigger metal tube that went towards the right side of the engine...only a few inches but still that way...did that lead somewhere?

So really those are the only two things I could think of that would be causing this unless I got something hooked up wrong...

Does this sound right? Please toss any other ideas too. Much appreciated.

Oh yeah also I will post a picture of my intake area tomorrow....There was a **** load of hoses and theres one I am confused on also...its actually on the tube that goes from the turbo to the intercooler, so maybe thats even causing a problem...but I will post a picture tomorrow and If you guys could tell me if it looks good. It isnt a stock intake setup so Its tough to really look at diagrams...I think I got it though but I will post it tomorrow .

Ok I just looked outside to see what was up...its tough to find the dynamic chamber withe everything on...but for some reason I dont think that 3rd one goes to it???

Also I noticed when I was out there that the metal line...that connects to the throttle?? not sure if its exactly the throttle...but it connects to something right on the throttlebody and it looks like it pulls, to accelerate something...its not the 2 cables on the firewal side...its one metal line that is on the other side of it.

Could that be causing it to die on me?? I will fix it all tomorrow after work and test it out, just want some information now

well hopefully once I get that metal line put back on that goes to the throttle body it will atleast idle and then I can go from there.

well that metal line i was talking about looks like it is the linkage rod to the metering oil pump...does that send oil throughout the car or what?

The BAC takes air from the metal pipe between the turbo and the IC elbow. It delivers it to the manifold through openings in the base where it bolts to the LIM (so you can't see them). You can see the inlet hose here:

lol i thought that looked a bit weird too lol.

Hey I got a quick question that I was just thinking about if anyone could answer.

From what I understand the linkage rod to the oil metering unit ...sends more oil as more gas is pushed. Now say it was unhooked from the TB...would that completly cut off oil? or just not give more oil then idling as you push the gas.??? thanks

The OMP only injects oil into the combustion chamber ( Not oil through the whole engine ). I dont know exactly how the whole linkage thing works on S4's, but I do know that you can take it all off and just premix if you want.

alright...well I just forgot to hook it up...and started the car up...hopefully nothing happened. It didnt stay on long because I have a nice vacumm leak...would idle to 2k and just die on me. I got to make sure I hook that up tomorrow....Should I maybe add some oil in the plugs so it has some right away? Or should It be fine just by hooking it up. thanks

Just hook it back up. Even if you didnt hook it back up right away, youd be fine. Its just something you wouldnt want to run down the road for a good grip without.
