Bac problems

Exclamation Bac problems

ok so i went to go adjust my BAC today because i've been having some issues with my brakes and my a/c bringing my idle down and low and behold! i found the problem! the screw to adjust my BAC is missing! no i did not do this. so my question is how exactly can i fix this. what size screw can i get to replace it or (god forbid) do i have to get a new BAC

LOL. This has happened to me too! Luckily, i just grabbed one from the junkyard.

But i could check the thread and size for you and post it up tomorrow. Might be able to find a replacement at an autostore... a hardware place is probably better... junkyard would be best. I wonder if the dealer has them?

Anyways, Thats what the blindcap is for... but we usually get these cars with them already missing.

NAs don't have screws to adjust anything on the BAC. That's only turbos, and it is just the same as the air bypass screw on the NA throttle body. The NA BAC just has the same casting shape as the turbo BAC, so it looks like something should be there.
