BAC compensates for A/C load?
Guys,
Does the BAC compensate for the load when the A/C compressor switches on? I have an '87 TII. When I switch the A/C on it drops the idle about 300 RPM and causes the engine to almost die. I have exactly the same behavior even if the BAC valve is disconnected (I actually don't think my BAC is doing ANYTHING. I have removed the ACV and EGR as well as some valve that had an electrical plug on it an a port that went on the manifold, don't know what that one did. I also capped off the air hose that fits a nipple right behind the BAC valve (again...don't know what that one did). Any of this related to my problem?
Thanks for the help.
Todd
